Sky Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg has claimed that Leipzig have now set their asking price for Simons for this summer.
The report claims that Simons is valued at around €80million (£68.5million) going into the summer transfer window, but the Bundesliga club are yet to receive any official offers for the playmaker.
Arsenal and Chelsea are not mentioned in the report despite being linked in the past. Instead, the report claims that Liverpool, Manchester United and Bayern Munich are in the running to sign Simons, while other unnamed clubs are also supposedly in the running.
Simons has been in impressive form for Leipzig this season, scoring 10 goals with six assists in all competitions.
It remains to be seen, though, if the Gunners or the Blues will make an offer to sign the Netherlands international when the transfer window opens, and it seems that there will be a host of clubs in the running to agree a deal at the end of the season.
