A Rapido bike rider in Bengaluru allegedly assaulted and slapped a woman reportedly in Jayanagar on an unknown date. The altercation reportedly began after the woman confronted the driver for rash driving, Times Now reported.

The confrontation escalated into a heated argument. The driver soon became hostile and physically assaulted the woman.

The video, recorded by a passerby, shows the Rapido driver slapping the woman so hard that she falls to the ground. Several bystanders can be seen surrounding them, watching the scene unfold.

According to media reports, the woman was reluctant to approach the authorities. The police told media that she was eventually convinced to file a complaint.

Earlier, a non-cognizable report was registered. However, after the video surfaced online, officials said they are considering upgrading it to an FIR.

The Jayanagar Police Station, which has jurisdiction over the area, is currently carrying out a detailed investigation into the incident.
