A woman was sexually assaulted on the street near Sadduguntepalya in Bengaluru and the incident was recorded on a CCTV camera.
According to Sarah Fathima, DCP South East Bengaluru, a probe has been launched into the matter and a FIR also has been registered under sections 74, 75, 78 of the BNS.
Reacting to the unfortunate incident, Karnataka Home Minister G Parmeswara on Monday said that such incidents tend to happen in a big city like this.
"Incidents like these tend to happen here and there in a big city like this. Whatever legal action needs to be taken will be done in accordance with the law. I have also instructed our commissioner to increase beat patrolling," he said.
