When it comes to fitness inspiration in Bollywood, names like Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt, and Katrina Kaif often top the list. But what does it really take to maintain such incredible levels of fitness amidst demanding shooting schedules and global travel? Celebrity fitness trainer Yasmin Karachiwala shared a small sneak peek into what sets these actresses apart and what they have in common. It's not just Pilates or strict diets. It’s something more relatable: discipline and consistency.

In a candid chat with Bhavishya Sindwani on a podcast shared on YouTube in May 2025, Yasmin revealed that while each celebrity has a workout routine tailored to their individual goals and needs, the one thing they all have in common is their unwavering commitment. “They are very disciplined,” she said. “They know how important working out is for their mental and physical health, and they make it a priority, every single day.”



Yasmin is known for introducing Pilates to the Indian fitness scene, has trained some of Bollywood’s biggest names, including Jacqueline Fernandez and others. She noted that no matter how hectic a celebrity’s life gets, fitness remains a non-negotiable part of their day. Whether it’s a late-night party or a busy shoot schedule, these women find time to train. “Going to a party or lunch with friends doesn’t eat into their workout time,” Yasmin said. But, Bollywood actresses swear by it and never cheats the routine.

Speaking specifically about their training preferences, Yasmin shared that Deepika, Alia, and Katrina all follow a combination of Pilates and functional training. Pilates, she explained, is a form of exercise that strengthens the body from the inside out. “It’s the perfect combination of strength and stretch. You feel strong from the core, and it doesn’t leave you feeling exhausted,” she said. According to her, Pilates is not only effective physically but also enjoyable, something people actually look forward to.

Functional training, on the other hand, focuses on everyday movement. Exercises like squats, lunges, planks, and push-ups improve joint strength, balance, coordination, and help prevent injury. It complements Pilates well, creating a well-rounded fitness routine that supports both performance and appearance.

Yasmin also mentioned that Deepika, in particular, turned to Pilates after giving birth, using it to gently and effectively rebuild strength. She stressed that none of her clients chase unrealistic goals or try to copy another person’s body. Instead, they stay connected to their own fitness journey, listening to what their bodies need and responding with care and dedication.
