Sangam World Malt Whisky by Radico Khaitan has been awarded “Spirit of the Year” at the Bartender Spirits Awards 2025, held in Chicago, USA this May.
The Bartender Spirits Awards is among the most respected global competitions, judged entirely by leading bartenders, bar managers and beverage buyers from across the United States.
Speaking on the achievement, Sanjeev Banga, President, International Business at Radico Khaitan, said, “It’s truly special to see Sangam celebrated by some of the most respected voices in the U.S. bar industry. This recognition is extra special as it celebrates our passion for quality and tradition, while shining a global spotlight on the rising brilliance of Indian whisky."
Kunal Madan, Senior Vice President, International Business, added, “Every element of Sangam has been carefully thought through, from the malts we select, to how we age and blend them. This award is a great validation of the effort and creativity behind it.”
Sangam offers a layered tasting experience, with aromas of ripe tropical fruits, toasted oak and soft spice. The palate opens up to notes of caramelised sugar, dried figs and a touch of dark chocolate, finishing with warm vanilla and a gentle wisp of smoke.
Apart from being available in over 40 countries worldwide and Global Travel Retail, the whisky is currently available in select markets across India including Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Goa, Karnataka, Chandigarh, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan and Maharashtra.
