Following Portuguese and Liverpool star Diogo Jota's tragic death via car accident in Spain, a video has surfaced on social media of him playing football with his kids. It's unclear from which match the video is but Jota was spotted in his Liverpool jersey, so were his kids as they passed the ball to one another gently.
The car accident that caused Jota's demise took place in Spain at 12.30am local time on the A-52 motorway in the municipality of Cernadilla, Zamora. His 26-year-old brother Andre Silva also lost his life. The tragic incident took place as the car left the road and caught fire following a tire burst while seemingly trying to overtake another vehicle.

Notably, Jota got married to Rute Cardoso only ten days ago and is survived by his wife and three children. The year 2020 saw Jota moving from Wolves to the Liverpool, a club for which he has made more than 180 appearances. He has played in the winning the Premier League, FA Cup and Carabao Cup for them and featured in 49 matches for Portugal senior football team.
Portuguese football federation mourns the death of Diogo Jota and Andre Silva
Pedro Proença, the President of Portuguese Football Federation spoke highly of Jota, claiming him to be an amazing player and person. Proença sent condolences to both Liverpool and Penafiel wherever the teams are lined up.
"The Portuguese Football Federation and all Portuguese football are completely devastated by the deaths of Diogo Jota and Andre Silva, this morning, in Spain. Much more than an amazing player, with almost 50 internationalizations for the National A Team, Diogo Jota was an extraordinary person, respected by all team-mates and opponents, someone with an infectious joy and a reference in the community itself."
"On my behalf, and on behalf of the Portuguese Football Federation, I express my deepest condolences to the family and friends of Diogo and AndreĢ Silva, as well as Liverpool FC and FC Penafiel, the clubs where, respectively, lined up the players."
