JEE Main 2025 Odisha Topper: Just 17 years young, Om Prakash Behera from Odisha's Bhubaneswar has stunned the academic circle. Scoring an impeccable AIR 1 in the JEE Mains 2025 April session, he had scored a perfect 300/300 a feat that motivated students all over India.
Born on 12th January 2008, Om Prakash is from a highly education-oriented family. His father, Kamlakant Behera, is an Odisha Administrative Services officer and his mother, Smita Rani Behera, is a lecturer at a college. In a heartfelt gesture of dedication, his mother took a three-year career break to relocate to Kota, India's most rigorous engineering entrance coaching centre, to provide moral support for his preparation.
From Class 10 to Kota's Competitive Core
Om Prakash's academic excellence was clearly visible right from the beginning he achieved 92% in Class 10. However, he was aware that JEE would require more from him. He enrolled in Allen Career Institute's regular classroom program in Kota, putting himself into an intense and well-structured preparation regimen.
The Routine That Made a Topper
Om Prakash's daily routine included 8 to 9 hours of self-study, divided into concentrated sessions with careful analysis of tests and correcting mistakes. But what truly set him apart was his ability to remain in the moment.
His one of boldest decisions was completely giving up mobile phones during his preparation. In a world where distractions are just a ping away, he chose clarity and commitment. For breaks, he relied on novels, letting his mind get charged without diversion.
What's Next?
With JEE Advanced looming on the horizon, Om Prakash isn’t slowing down. His ambition is to acquire a seat at IIT Bombay, studying BTech Computer Science, according to media reports.
