Pune Division, Central Railway, conducted a comprehensive Fortress Check at Pune Railway Station on 31st May 2025, under the guidance of Divisional Railway Manager Rajesh Kumar Verma, the leadership of Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Anil Kumar Pathak, and the supervision of Divisional Commercial Manager Hemant Kumar Behera.

The check was carried out from 12:00 noon to 8 pm and involved the deployment of 25 ticket checking staff. A total of 410 cases were detected during the drive, generating a revenue of ₹2,10,000 through fines. The average number of cases booked per staff was 16.4, and the average earnings amounted to ₹8,400 per staff.
In addition to ticket checking, a special drive against unauthorized vendors was simultaneously conducted. As a result:
6 unauthorized vendors were prosecuted, 18 vendors were penalized, Bringing the total to 24 offenders, with a fine amount of ₹5,860 collected.
The Fortress Check also focused on Divyangjan coaches, with 15 trains thoroughly inspected to prevent unauthorized travel in specially designated coaches for differently-abled passengers.
Pune Division remains committed to ensuring passenger safety, upholding travel discipline, and maintaining the integrity of reserved coach categories, especially for Divyangjan passengers.
