Mumbai: A 27-year-old man tragically lost his life early Tuesday morning when his car was crushed between two heavy vehicles on the Mumbra Bypass Road in Thane district.
According to Yasin Tadvi, Chief of the Civic Disaster Management Cell, the accident occurred around 4:30 AM. A truck reportedly rammed into the car from behind, pushing it into another heavy vehicle in front, resulting in the car being completely crushed between the two.
The victim, identified as Vishnu Pal, a resident of Navi Mumbai, was trapped inside the mangled vehicle. Rescue teams worked for nearly two hours to extricate him from the wreckage. He was immediately rushed to a civic hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival, according to a PTI report.
The incident caused traffic disruptions on the busy bypass road during the early morning hours. The damaged vehicles were later removed from the site with the help of a Hydra crane. Local police have launched an investigation into the incident. The body of the deceased has been sent for post-mortem examination.
Six-Year-Old Boy Killed, Two Injured In Truck Accident In Titwala
A six-year-old boy lost his life, and two others sustained injuries after a truck collided with a motorcycle in Titwala on Saturday evening. The deceased has been identified as Jignesh Nikesh Raut (6), while the injured include his grandmother, Poonam Raut, and 58-year-old Vijay Patil, who was riding the bike.
The accident occurred around 6:30 PM in Raya village, Khadavli, under the jurisdiction of the Titwala police station. Patil was riding the motorcycle with his grandson and daughter-in-law as pillion passengers. The family were on their way to Titwala from Karadavali village when a truck approaching from the opposite direction struck their vehicle.
