Tragic! Wrestler Dies During Wrestling Match in Kathua After Falling Unconscious; Video

In a very painful incident a wrestler died after falling unconscious during the wrestling bout. The incident happened during the annual Dangal competition which was held in Dinga Amb area of Kathua district in Jammu and Kashmir.

According to ABP report, the incident happened during the final match of the annual wrestling competition between wrestler Sonu of Jalandhar and Rinku of Delhi.

How the incident unfolded

A clip which has gone viral shows the fight reaching a very exciting stage with both wrestlers were giving equal competition to each other. However Sonu fell unconscious during the fight. When people went to lift him, they were shocked when the wrestler did not move from his place. Eyewitnesses said that no one could believe that someone could die like this.

locals organisers and the police immediately rushed Sonu to Hiranagar Hospital, where doctors declared them dead. It is said that the Sonu was fully fit and practised regularly, however the everyone present during the event were left surprised and shocked by his sudden death.

After this incident, there was mourning in the wrestling event and the organizers stopped the competition midway. At present, the police is investigating the matter and the body has been sent for post-mortem
