Rishabh Pant didn't keep wickets on day two
Notably, the 27-year-old didn't keep wickets on day two of the Lord's Test as he continued his recovery from the finger injury sustained on day one while trying to prevent the boundary. Nevertheless, Pant looked in good nick with the bat, slamming three boundaries in his unbeaten 19 off 33 deliveries until stumps on day two.
The southpaw has added an unbroken 38 with KL Rahul (53*) at Stumps, keeping the tourists afloat after England amassed 387 in their first innings. Team India finished day one on 145/3, still trailing by 242 runs, losing Yashasvi Jaiswal (13), Karun Nair (40) and Shubman Gill (16).
England's total came on the back of Joe Root's 104, followed by half-centuries from Brydon Carse and Jamie Smith. The five-Test series is currently locked at 1-1.
