On Tuesday, 15 April, the sixth match was played between Lahore Qalandars and Karachi Kings in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025 in which the Shaheen Afridi-led Qalandars team defeated David Warner-led Karachi Kings by 65 runs and registered a spectacular victory. David Warner himself was one of the reasons for Karachi's defeat in this match as he was dismissed without opening the account in the very first over of the innings.
Lahore won the toss and decided to bat first and the team scored 201 runs while batting first. In response, captain Shaheen led from the front and pushed the Karachi team on the backfoot by taking two wickets in the first over of the second innings. One of these two wickets was also of David Warner who got out for zero off two balls.
On the second ball of the first over, Shaheen bowled a wide ball which Warner wanted to hit, but the ball took the edge of the bat and went into the keeper's gloves. The Karachi team appealed and the umpire wasted no time in raising his finger. However, after being given out, Warner appeared in a dilemma and started discussing with his partner about taking a review but in the end he decided not to take the review.
If we talk about Warner, he has not yet been able to make a mark in the current season of PSL. So far, Warner has scored only 12 runs in two matches, in which he scored 12 (6) against Multan Sultans. Talking about Shaheen, this star bowler of Pakistan has taken four wickets in two matches so far and he is looking in great form in PSL this time which is a good news for Lahore.
