 The ongoing war between Israel and Iran is getting more intense. Iran attacked Israel's Beersheba with a ballistic missile on Friday. The missile fell near several apartment blocks. Five people are reported to be injured in the attack. Meanwhile, the White House said that President Donald Trump will decide within the next two weeks whether to attack Iran or not. Trump still sees 'sufficient' possibility that the US and Israel's demands on Iran's nuclear program can be met through talks. Giving information, press secretary Caroline Levitt said that the deadline for the warning given by the President to Iran has been extended. The question is why is America shying away from going to war against Iran?

 

Why has Trump taken a U-turn?

Experts believe that in case America jumps into the war, NATO, a military organization of 32 countries, can keep its distance. In the recently concluded G-7 countries meeting in Canada, the member countries did not approve Trump's plan regarding Iran. So far China and Russia are keeping their distance from the war. If Trump attacks Iran, then China and Russia can come out in support of Iran.

 

Trump does not want to repeat Libya's mistake: Reports  

According to sources, Trump fears that if Iran's Supreme Leader Khamenei is targeted, the situation could become like 'another Libya'. Trump, while referring to the devastation in Libya, said that he does not want Iran to go into a state of anarchy like the one that followed Gaddafi in 2011. This is the reason why Trump has postponed the decision to bomb Iran's nuclear bases for at least two weeks. According to sources, Trump is currently considering only limited airstrikes on sites like Fordo and Natanz. That too with America's special bunker-buster bombs, which Israeli jets cannot carry.

 

North Korea calls Israel 'cancer'

 

On Thursday, Kim Jong Un, the dictator of Russia-China camp North Korea, said that Israel is a cancer of West Asia and it is necessary to wipe it out. North Korea openly supported Iran. Issuing a statement, it called Israel a cancer of West Asia. North Korea said that Israel is a threat to West Asia and global peace. The powers supporting it, America, are completely responsible for this war.

Iran has so far fired 450 missiles and 1000 drones. The Israeli army claimed that Iran used a missile with multiple warheads in the new attack. This is posing a serious challenge to Israel's Iron Dome and Ay air defense systems.
