Jean-Claude Van Damme is reportedly caught up in a criminal complaint filed in Romania after five women were allegedly offered to him for sex. The Hollywood star was allegedly offered five women who had been trafficked and given to him as a “gift” for sex in Cannes during a visit for a film release.
Van Damme, 64, rose to fame in Bloodsport in 1980, and went on to show off his martial arts skills in films such as Double Impact.
Now, the Belgian actor's name has been linked to an investigation by DIICOT - the Romanian Directorate for Investigating Organised Crime and Terrorism - after a woman reported the alleged event.

Lawyer Adrian Cuculis spoke to , and claimed that the five women "were in a state of vulnerability, with the suspicion that they were exploited".
The lawyer said: “Several Romanians who are currently being investigated… allegedly offered Jean-Claude Van Damme five Romanian women - photo models in Romania - for him to have sexual relations with."
It is claimed that the sex trafficking network involved is suspect to be run by Romanian businessman and model agency owner Morel Bolea. "We are discussing a outrageous case that is not new to the Prosecutor's Offices in Romania,” he said.
He said that the investigations started in 2020 with statements given in a case of trafficking in minors and human trafficking, adding that now, several Romanians are currently being investigated for "allegedly offering Jean-Claude Van Damme" five Romanian women for him to have sex with.
According to reports, a woman involved in the suspected trafficking organisation brought the alleged incident to the attention of DIICOT Iași - Iași being a city in Romania.
“I had just joined the organization. At that time, they were organizing a lot of events both in Iași and abroad,” the woman claimed to CNN Antena 3, according to the .
She added: “During that period, an event took place in Cannes, it was the launch of a film starring Van Damme. After that event, five of the girls who were from the country were sent to sleep with Van Damme. The girls in our organization told this story.”
CNN Antena 3 added that due to the alleged incident taking place in Cannes, the Prosecutor General of the Prosecutor's Office “must authorise the initiation of criminal proceedings,” and perpetrators identified in order to give statements in Romania.
