Sam Allardyce was pictured alongside Sir Alex Ferguson in Manchester United's win over Chelsea – and he has opened up on how they largely talk tactics when they're watching games together.
The former Premier League manager, whose most recent job was with Leeds United, was in attendance to watch the Red Devils secure just their second win of the campaign. He was alongside an Old Trafford regular in Ferguson with the pair having gone up against each other numerous times in their careers.
Both men were managing back in the 1990s and have seen the game develop into what it is today.

Much was made of the dialogue between the two individuals and Allardyce claims the majority of their chat centred around the game as well as what changes they would make.
He said on the : “We talk about why we think United have dropped off, talk about how they need to push up.
"There are things we chat about in general about what’s happening in the game, and say what we think. Do we think they’ll get a sub on?"
United's win came with both teams down to ten men after Robert Sanchez and Casemiro were both sent off in the first half.
The Brazilian dismissed for two yellow card offences, which led to a tense finish for the hosts, and Allardyce admits he'd have hauled off the veteran midfielder.
He said: “I would’ve taken Casemiro off after his yellow. Have you seen how many times he’s been sent off? A man of his experience and his age who can’t control himself, he’s just an old player. He’s not an experienced player.
“He’s been doing the same things for all his career that he should’ve cut out years ago, and particularly now he’s not as quick as he used to be, he should be using his experience to make sure that doesn’t happen, but he’s not. He’s doing the same old things he’s always done, diving in, jumping in."
Despite Ferguson and Allardyce often going up against each other the Scot did have admiration for the one-game England manager, who remains a friend.
Back in 2010 he was hugely critical of Blackburn's decision to axe him when they were lying 13th in the top flight.
"I've never heard of such a stupid decision in all my life," said the ex-United boss. "I don't know what they're doing up there, but deary me. It confounds common sense. Absolutely ridiculous."
