There's nothing worse than being accused of something you're not guiltyof. That's why one man was left seething at his neighbour for insinuating he had an affair when he was happily married to his wife. "My wife and I have been living in our current neighbourhoodfor about two years now. Our next-door neighbour moved in last April, married with no kids and works from home," he shared.
He explained he had his "identical twin brother and his wife visit" in the last week of June, and "they arrived in the middle of the week", so he and his wife were both working and not home.
"But we do use a smartlock, so I gave them remote access. They also came in by Uber from the airport, left their luggage at our house, and met my wife and me for dinner downtown," he shared.

But little did they know, their neighbour had been closely watching what was going on without knowing all the full details.
He wrote on Reddit: "Next day, this neighbour approaches my wife as she was about to leave for work in the morning (I leave later than her, and my brother and sister in law were still asleep).
"She asks her if she knew anything or had noticed anything different about me. My wife was a bit taken aback by her question and asked why. She goes on saying she saw 'me' bringing another woman home the day before in a different car.
"My wife realises this neighbour's mistake and explains that my twin brother arrived in town. Our new neighbour gasps and is obviously embarrassed, but my wife handled it pretty calmly.
"She even showed our new neighbour our dinner picture with my twin brother and his wife. New neighbour didn't see our group arriving back at home, so she made that assumption. My wife and I laughed about it when she shared it with me".
But, the nosy neighbour didn't leave it there, as they continued to try and meddle.
He continued: "All is well until I got a text from a neighbour close to me asking me what I've been up to. Apparently, the new neighbour quickly gossiped about 'me' to others. It's annoying because, well, not everyone in the neighbourhood saw my twin brother arriving (because it was in the middle of the day).
"Second, we realised that our new neighbour talked to three other neighbours. Like what the hell. My wife and I were unsure whether or not to explain to the rest what's really the deal, but at the same time, it's quite the effort. We thought of walking around the neighbourhood with my brother and sister in law, and we did, but it's not like everyone is peaking through their windows or waiting at their porches.
"I get the whole women having women behind their backs; it's just annoying how quickly it spreads to others without any attempt to confirm first."
In the comments, people seethed the "nosy neighbour should go and undo the damage she did".
Someone defended her, saying: "To be fair, how many people have identical twin brothers? I will understand the mistake. But it is not her business at all. If she needs to tell anyone, she should only tell the original poster’s wife, not the whole neighbourhood. I assume there will be a lot more stories from this woman."
One man joked: "You could always invite your brother back for some fun, put on the same outfit and hairstyle, and then do things to screw with people."
