Saturday Kitchen's Matt Tebbutt has spoken out about his future on the show after sharing some thrilling news.
The BBC programme was back on our screens on Saturday morning (September 6), with Matt once again leading the show. Chefs Mike Reid and Samin Nosrat joined him, along with comedian Alan Davis and drinks expert Helen McGinn, who was there to suggest the best wines to go with the studio dishes.
However, it wasn't long into the show before Matt revealed some exciting career developments.

Helen asked: "Is there anything you'd like to share with the group?" To which Matt responded: "Yes I can confirm, this is quite embarrassing, not embarrassing, it's exciting."
He then announced: "I'm going to be the new judge on MasterChef the professionals!" The studio erupted in applause at Matt's revelation, reports the Express.
Comedian Alan couldn't resist a joke, saying: "You'll be cancelled by half past," which was met with laughter from his co-stars.
Matt explained more: “Yeah I'm doing it with Monica and Marcus. It's going to be great fun! I'm very excited and I promise I won’t mess it up for anyone who is wondering."

Helen: "I mean congratulations and everything, but you’re not leaving here?" Addressing his future on the show, Matt said: "No I’m holding onto this for as long as I can until they say otherwise."
On the upcoming 18th series of MasterChef: The Professionals, Matt will appear alongside Marcus Wareing and Monica Galetti. The three judges will also be joined by a variety of exciting guest judges in the first stage of the competition.

With their own experience and food backgrounds helping to oversee the Skills Tests, the guest judge in each Heat will add another element of surprise for the professional chefs walking through the MasterChef kitchen doors for the very first time.
Talking about his new gig on MasterChef: The Professionals, Matt said: “It’s an absolute honour to be working alongside these two titans of the food world.
Their knowledge and uncompromising attitude is now the stuff of legend and I look forward to them taking me under their wing and seeing the chefs get off to a flying start in the competition!”
