HDFC Bank has issued an important notice for its customers, informing that some of its services will remain unavailable for seven hours due to scheduled system maintenance. The shutdown will take place from 11 pm on August 22 to 6 am on August 23. According to the bank, this work is being carried out to upgrade and strengthen its systems so that customers can experience faster, smoother and more secure services in the future.
During this period, customers will not be able to access certain facilities such as chat banking, SMS and WhatsApp-based banking, the automatic IVR system of phone banking, and customer support via email or social media. These services will remain completely closed for the duration of the maintenance. However, the bank has also clarified that several key facilities will continue to operate normally. Services like net banking, the HDFC mobile banking app, transactions through PayZapp and MyCards, as well as assistance from phone banking agents will remain fully functional.
HDFC Bank has emphasized that such maintenance is a routine exercise carried out from time to time to ensure that its systems are secure and capable of meeting the growing needs of digital banking. The bank has urged its customers to complete any important work connected to the affected services before 11 pm on August 22, as they will not be available again until after 6 am the next morning. Once the maintenance is complete, all services will resume as usual.
