Through Veo 3 technology, users will be able to create videos by just giving text commands, which will include both visual and audio. This will make the entire process of video creation very easy. Currently, creators on YouTube Shorts use the old Veo 2 model, which has the facility to generate background or create simple clips with the help of Dream Screen.

The AI tool will increase Shorts.
YouTube also informed us that Shorts is now being viewed more than 200 billion times every day. In such a situation, the number of short videos made with the help of AI tools is also expected to increase significantly. However, along with this, the possibility of deepfakes and fake content on the platform is also increasing.

Given these dangers, YouTube has talked about developing such tools in collaboration with other organizations including the Creative Artists Agency (CAA), so that public figures can control the misuse of their face and identity. However, it is not yet clear how effective this protection tool will be.

The flood of AI generated content can also affect the earnings of authentic creators. More than one-fourth of the creators involved in the YouTube Partner Program earn through Shorts. If AI videos dominate the platform, real creators may turn to options like TikTok or Instagram Reels.
