New by WXCharts forecast the UK to be hit by frosty 0C temperatures in April - and even snow in one remote part of the British Isles. The maps generated using met desk data reveal that towards the middle of April, areas in northern Scotland including the should expect snow to cover the land. The weather prediction comes as a shock contrast to the temperature increases that have been experienced at the start of the month. While the majority of the nation will escape the predicted snow, cold conditions that will accompany the snow will impact a vast majority of regions across the country on April 20, and also six days earlier on April 14.
According to a separate temperature map, the mercury will plummet to 0C between Aberdeen and Inverness, while it will be as low as 2C in central Scotland, 3C in Newcastle, with temperatures even dropping to 2C as far south as London. Meanwhile on April 14, it will be as low as 0C in much of central Scotland, 1C in the north of England, 3C in Wales, 0C in Northern Ireland and 4C in the south west of England - appearing to show that winter isn't quite over yet.
Snow, incidicated by white and purple on the weather maps, will hit the very northern tip of the British Isles near Durness, as well as a large area of land between Inverness and Aberdeen - Scotland's two most northern cities. The areas that miss the snow may see some rain as the maps also highlights showers sweeping towards the nation from as early as midnight on April 20.

The long range forecast from April 11 to April 20 also makes mention of the changing weather conditions expected in the middle of April.
It states: "A gradual change to the weather regime is likely thereafter, with Atlantic frontal systems from the west and showers from the south making inroads across the UK. This is expected to herald a wetter period through the middle of April with showers or longer spells of rain at times, which could be heavy and thundery at times."
It adds: "Strong winds could develop in some areas, particulary the south and west. Temperatures are likely to return closer to normal."
While the dramatic changes are set for later on in the month, as of right now the UK can expect more "dry and settled" weather over the coming days.
