Rose spoke about his "torment" of missing out on the Augusta prize ahead of his appearance at the RBC Heritage, which gets underway today.

McIlroy typically skips the tournament after the Masters and will give the RBC Heritage a miss as he takes a much-deserved break.

The star will return to the course when he attempts to defend his Zurich Classic of New Orleans title alongside Shane Lowry next weekend.
