For the past four years music bible DJ Mag has seen its readers vote one club above all others from a worldwide fan base stretching from Fiji to Farnham and beyond.
The unprecedented run has seen this venue trump nightlife from across the globe to retain its top spot thanks to, "fresh innovation on all fronts each new season since opening, from the lighting to the sound system and the all-important line-ups, which have carefully mixed big-room headliners with fast-rising stars of tomorrow," according to the international web based magazine.
Based in Ibiza, where competetion for the title is fierce, there is one relativley new kid on the block that stands out and has beaten its well established rivals such as Pasha and Amnesia to acheive the holy grail of recognition among its peers.
Among the island's highlights that it pipped to the post are Café Mambo, the coolest beachside venue to eat, drink and watch the sun go down. This globally acclaimed nightspot opened its doors in 1994 and without social media built a successful fanbase purely by word of mouth. Imagine!
But it's HÏ IBIZA, situated in the well established clubbers paradise of Playa d'en Bossa, south side of the white island, that has been crowned 'best in the world' and I visited the weekly Glitterbox residence to see what happens when the sun goes down and the pink lights come up in this groundbreaking nightclub.
Between 1986 the location was home to Space known for it 'We Love Sundays' set with two British DJs - Alex P and Brandon Bloc - until its closure 30 years later in 2016.
With large boots to fill the site was bought by Ushuaia group, along with UNVRS, and made history once again with unprecedented accolades in the world of entertainment.
Beating other notable clubs to the top spot, including Ocean Beach Club, where Jordan, 46 turned up last week with other Z-lister celebs in tow including Dean Gaffney, 47, of 90s Eastenders fame.
Pikes, the setting for Wham's Club Tropicana video, is another big name hotel and nightclub on the Island but with a strict no-pictures policy, enforced by a mandatory sticker being placed over your phone's camera on entry, it seeks to keep its allure by operating on a zero publicity basis - if you know you know.
And it's no surprise the spot has come out tops with cutting edge design, acoustic and lighting to make the whole experience fresh and unique for 2025 party-goers.
Despite the lofty titles the staff are friendly and helpful and quick to make your experience an unforgettable one as you bop from the Theatre to the Magic Garden.
The official website describes the Theatre as: "Inspired by classic Italian amphitheatre design, the dancefloor is surrounded by a raised terrace hosting the VIP area. All aspects of this room have been carefully considered to ensure a close connection between artist and audience. We have tailored each residency to have a bespoke look and feel, guaranteeing that no two nights are ever the same."
The entry fee is £55 for Glitterbox but you can get a drink for under ten euros which is reasonable when you consider the eyewatering prices of nearby beach clubs that offer packages priced upward of £10k for a 'bath' of champagne - an ice bath filled with 20 bottles of your choice of Champagne or spirit - priced accordingly. But there is always the £4k mini bath if you're feeling a bit stretched that day.
But what none of the others have that HÏ IBIZA does is something even more surprising than people shelling out a year's salary on a booze bath, is their toilets. Stepping foot on its sacred dancefloors for the first time I found myself wandering through the rooms where I stumbed on the Wild Corner, which was in fact a toilet.
No queuing here - just dancing! The entire unisex area has been transformed into a must-see rather than just a convenience.
Decks sit between the wash areas and the crowd flush away their woes when the DJ drops the tunes and cleans up on the make-shift dance floor. A great way to make sure your night doesn't go down the tubes, when the drinking takes its natural course.
A must-see clubbing experience that really is the stuff of Ibiza folklore.
