A tunnel in east London has been shut due to a "police incident". The Limehouse Link tunnel has been closed westbound with heavy traffic expected as a result.
According to Transport for London's travel advice: "Use an alternative route. Traffic is very slow in all surrounding areas and local diversion routes with heavy delays on East India Dock Road and Aspen Way in both directions. Traffic is also heavy eastbound on The Highway. Expect delays."
It is currently unclear what caused the police incident and how long the tunnel will be partially closed. The tunnel is vital for motorists travelling to and from Canary Wharf.
