Liverpool have already enjoyed a productive summer window as they go in search of back-to-back Premier League titles. They have been among the division's busiest clubs, splashing over £250million on several new players. The likes of Florian Wirtz, Milos Kerkez and Hugo Ekitike have all joined the Anfield giants since the end of last season.
There is still room for more additions, though, with the Reds still chasing a blockbuster move for Alexander Isak. He is desperate to leave Newcastle but a move for the Swedish forward would require a record-breaking transfer fee. Several other players have also been linked with Liverpool and they will be hoping to wrap up their summer business with a flurry of marquee signings.
Express Sport takes a look at the dream scenario for Liverpool in the final week of the window...
Alexander IsakLiverpool's main goal throughout the window has been to secure Isak's signature, but a move will be extremely difficult to engineer. Newcastle have insisted that he is not for sale despite reportedly valuing the 25-year-old at around £150m.
While that figure would raise more than a few eyebrows, it could be worth every penny if Isak fires the Reds to multiple trophies over the coming years. They clearly believe he is the missing piece of the puzzle, so why not just pay the required fee?
Only time will tell if the saga resolves itself before the deadline, with all parties except Newcastle pushing for the move to go ahead.
Arne Slot has also been tipped to sign a new defender to replace Jarell Quansah, who has joined Bayer Leverkusen. Ibrahima Konate, meanwhile, is yet to sign a contract extension amid reported interest from Real Madrid.
Liverpool have reportedly identified Marc Guehi as their ideal target, with discussions having been held over the last few weeks. It has been claimed that Crystal Palace are holding out for a transfer fee in the region of £45m.
The south Londoners are under pressure to cash in on Guehi, who has just entered the final year of his contract. As a result, it would not be a surprise to see the England international join Liverpool before the window closes.
RodrygoLiverpool are not exactly desperate for a new winger, but it would be hard to resist the opportunity to prise Rodrygo away from Real Madrid.
For one, he is a top-class player with the versatility to feature across all three attacking positions. His arrival would give the Reds even more quality in the final third, which is a scary prospect for Premier League defences around the country.
Rodrygo has also emerged as a target for Arsenal, with Real Madrid said to be holding out for a transfer fee of £84m. Liverpool could sting their closest title rivals by swooping in and landing the Brazilian for themselves.
