Manchester United have announced their 32-man travelling squad for this summer's pre-season tour of the United States, and Ruben Amorim has omitted some huge names. The Red Devils jet off across the Atlantic today (Tuesday) as they continue their preparations for the 2025/26 season Stateside.
Amorim's side will face West Ham United in New Jersey, clash with Bournemouth in Chicago and finish up against Everton in Atlanta before returning to M16. The Portuguese head coach has named a large group of players to work with over the next two weeks, but there is no space for six major players.
Andre Onana is currently recovering from a hamstring injury, but he will be a part of the travelling pack. Altay Bayindir, Tom Heaton and youngsters Dermot Mee and Will Murdock make up the numbers.
Harry Maguire is a notable absentee among the defenders, given the 32-year-old is primed for a prominent role in the final year of his contract.
He is said to have remained in Manchester to deal with a personal matter, but there is hope that he will link up with his team-mates down the line.
Matthijs de Ligt, Ayden Heaven, Leny Yoro, Luke Shaw, Noussair Mazraoui, Tyler Fredricson and Reece Munro are the centre-back options at Amorim's disposal.

Lisandro Martinez has also travelled but has yet to return to training as he progresses with rehabilitation of his torn anterior cruciate ligament.
Diogo Dalot, Amad, Patrick Dorgu, summer arrival Diego Leon and academy star Bendito Mantato make up Amorim's wing-back options.
In midfield, academy duo Sekou Kone and Jack Fletcher are on the plane after also travelling to Stockholm for United's pre-season opener against Leeds United.
Casemiro, Bruno Fernandes, Kobbie Mainoo, Mason Mount, Manuel Ugarte and Toby Collyer represent the senior midfielders.

United's new dynamic duo, Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo, will both be in action in the States after joining for a combined £133.5m.
Youngster Ethan Williams was expected the stay behind and seal a loan to League One after his impressive spell at League Two Cheltenham Town last season.
However, Amorim has also included him in his squad alongside other attackers Rasmus Hojlund, Joshua Zirkzee and Chido Obi.
Unsurprisingly, the five members of United's "bomb squad" are not travelling. Marcus Rashford is set to join Barcelona on loan, while Alejandro Garnacho, Antony, Jadon Sancho and Tyrell Malacia continue to explore exits.
