Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are plotting to "hijack" Christmas after securing a new deal with Netflix, a royal commentator has claimed. Kinsey Schofield was speaking to fellow royal commentator Rupert Bell on her YouTube channel after the renewed agreement between the Sussexes and the streaming giant was confirmed - the value of which has not been confirmed by the streaming giant.
Ms Schofield zeroed in on one show, which has already been announced, titled A Christmas Special with Meghan Markle, prompting Mr Bell to observe: "I'm not sure how Meghan is going to elevate Christmas. I am sure it will be beautifully shot - it will be schmaltzy." Ms Schofield interjected: "It will be commercialised." In particular, she emphasised her admiration of the Royal Family's commitment to faith, citing the Princess of Wales' Christmas carol concerts as an example. She then went on to claim the Sussexes' Christmas show would instead "hijack the birth of Jesus Christ" in order for Meghan to "sell another bottle of rose of a fruit spread."
