Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been mocked by TV stars at Buckingham Palace today who did their own version of their 'Baby Mama' dance. Former Made in Chelsea stars Jamie Laing and Sophie Habboo, who are expecting their first child together, attended a reception at the Palace on Wednesday for the King's Trust, a charity set up by the monarch when he was the Prince of Wales to help young people access opportunities.
While at Buckingham Palace, the pair quickly filmed their own version of the 'Baby Mama' dance on one of the spectacular staircases, just weeks after Meghan posted a video of her andHarry doing a similar dance to the same song. When the Duke and Duchess of Sussex did it, the labour suite for the birth of their daughter Princess Lilibet in 2021, was their dancefloor. Jamie, 36, and Sophie, 30, did not mention Harry or Meghan in the video, but that didn't stop them catching the attention of royal fans nonetheless.
Jamie captioned the post of them dancing: "They said we couldn't film in Buckingham Palace..."
Royal fans could not help but react to the video, with many making digs at Meghan, who received a controversial reaction after posting her own 'Baby Mama' dancing, in which she is twerking in front of the camera.
Despite the fact Harry and Meghan were not senior royals when the video of them was taken in 2021, having quit a year prior, many still believed a video of that type was not appropriate given their royal links.
Commenting on Jamie and Sophie's 'Baby Mama' dance video today, one fan wrote: "At least yours was classier."
A second said: "At least there was no twerking."
Someone else wrote: "So naughty, but funny for all sorts of reasons."
Another fan said: "This is fantastic!"
Royal fans were also surprised to see a comment from the Royal Family on the post, which read: "We see you."
The good-natured comment, which was accompanied by an eye and winking emoji, is believed to be in response to the couple's caption about being told not to film inside the Palace.
