Ruben Amorim fuels Man Utd quit fears with telling four-word comment

Ruben Amorim has ignited fresh speculation about his position following his remarks after Manchester United's devastating Carabao Cup elimination by Grimsby Town. With rumours swirling around Amorim's future on social media following the Grimsby clash, his post-match remarks stand in stark contrast to his defiant stance when critics questioned him afterUnited's Europa League final heartbreak in May. Following that devastating defeat to Tottenham, Amorim boldly declared he would step down without seeking compensation if supporters or United's hierarchy lost confidence in his leadership.

He said defiantly at the time: "If the board and the fans feel I'm not the right guy, I will go in the next day without any conversation about compensation. But I will not quit again. I am confident in my job. As you see, I will not change anything in the way I do things.

"In this moment, I am not here to defend myself. It's not my style. I have nothing to show to the fans. In this moment [I need] a little bit of faith."
