Sainsbury's giving these shoppers £25 bonus in November

Sainsbury's is giving eligible shoppers who are signed up to its Christmas Club Card savings scheme a bonus reward of up to £25 in November.

The supermarket's scheme allows shoppers to save money throughout the year and receive a bonus payment for the money they've stashed away. The saving period runs from January 1 until November 1 each year and shoppers can add money to their card in-store at the checkout. Shoppers can save any amount from £1 up to a maximum of £1,975 and need to have a minimum of £50 on the card before November 1 to qualify for a bonus.

Through the scheme, shoppers will receive a 5% cash bonus, equivalent to £2.50, reward for each full £50 saved on their card at 11.59pm on November 1, up to a maximum £25 reward on £500 savings.

Sainsbury's will add the bonus to the savings card by the end of November and the savings can then be used at the supermarket, either in-store or online, and at Argos online in part of full payment for goods.

Unfortunately, the scheme is now closed to new customers so only existing cardholders can use it, so if you are already signed up, it's worth making sure you have at least £50 saved by Saturday to bag a reward.

Sainsbury's said: "The balance will need to be on your card until the end of the day on the 1st Nov to qualify for the bonus.

"To qualify for the bonus, do not spend the balance until 2nd November at the earliest. The bonus will be added to your card by the end of November.

"You can add the value onto your card at any time, as long as the balance is on your card until the end of the day on the 1st November."

The qualifying bonus amounts for the Sainsbury's Christmas Club Card are as follows:

• Card balance between £0.00 - £49.99 = £0 bonus value
• Card balance between £50 - £99.99 = £2.50 bonus value
• Card balance between £100 - £149.99 = £5.00 bonus value
• Card balance between £150 - £199.99 = £7.50 bonus value
• Card balance between £200 - £249.99 = £10.00 bonus value
• Card balance between £250 - £299.99 = £12.50 bonus value
• Card balance between £300 - £349.99 = £15.00 bonus value
• Card balance between £350 - £399.99 = £17.50 bonus value
• Card balance between £400 - £449.99 = £20.00 bonus value
• Card balance between £450 - £499.99 = £22.50 bonus value
• Card balance between £500 and over = £25.00 bonus value

Sainsbury's adds: "Your bonus will be added by the end of November. To check the balance at any point, register your Christmas Club Card here."
