A sick paedophile who raped a 13-year-old girl in an alleyway has been jailed for just seven years. Sorosh Amini, 21, of Station Road, Croydon, kept pestering the youngster, trying to talk to her despite the child repeatedly telling him to leave her alone. But the sexual predator followed her down North End Road in Croydon, south London, and into an alleyway.
He forced himself on her and tried to put a cannabis joint into her mouth. Amini told the youngster he was friends with someone who stabbed a person, making the child fear he could have a knife. It was then that Amini raped her.
The brave child told the police while coward Amini fled his home in London the day after the rape. Met Police officers used phone data and CCTV to trace him to Liverpool. He was arrested days later, according to Scotland Yard.
The pervert was charged after Scotland Yard detectives checked CCTV and used specially trained forensic dogs to place him at the scene.
Amini was sentenced to seven years in prison on Friday (June 27) at Croydon Crown Court, after being convicted of rape and sexual assault. He was issued with a 10-year sexual harm prevention order.
Det Insp Donnett Oseni, who led the investigation, said: "Amini's attack on this vulnerable girl was predatory and calculated.
"He has demonstrated himself to be a dangerous sexual offender and this sentence prevents him from harming anyone else."
The detective inspector commended the girl for her courage in coming forward and reporting the offence to police.
DI Oseni said: "I hope today's verdict will bring her and her family some semblance of closure."
Amini was convicted on January 1 at the end of a two week trial at the same court.
