The Chase viewers slam 'shameful' contestant: 'Why bother turning up'

Viewers of The Chase were left fuming after one contestant took a negative offer from Chaser Shaun Wallace. Victoria from London only managed to raise £2,000 in her cash builder. Unimpressed by her performance, Shaun gave her the choice of playing for that, a low offer of-£1,000, or a high offer of £80,000. After a tricky cash builder, she opted for the low offer, and viewers were not amused.

Taking to X, one raged: "Took minus £1,000 on #TheChaseShameful!" A second agreed writing: "Minus offer w***** - why bother turning up?" A third chimed in: "She'll probably be a total passenger in the final chase as well answering like 1 right.2 a fourth shared: " There always seems to be a T***** that takes the lower offer. Oh man." A fourth commented: "Low offer booo #thechase useless." A fifth shared: "Taking the low offer is like stealing money from a collection basket in Church. It's just wrong."
