Samsung has just announced its new flip phone, the Galaxy Z Flip 7, which takes the beloved form factor of flip phones from the 1990s and 2000s and reinvents it for 2025. This clever folding phone has an internal bendable display that unfolds to reveal a 6.9-inch OLED screen but flips down to half the size of a normal smartphone.
On the outside there's a large display punctuated by the two main cameras, You can run apps and widgets on this screen, meaning you don't have to open up the phone to check notifications or even reply to messages or use Google Maps.
If you are in need of an Android upgrade, the Z Flip 7 is available to pre-order. I've been scouring the web for the best-priced deal on the new Galaxy phone, and this one from Mobiles.co.uk stands out.
The retailer is offering the Galaxy Z Flip 7 with 512GB storage for the price of the 256GB model as an introductory pre-order offer, with delivery promised by July 25, 2025.
You'll pay just £29.99 per month plus a £150 one-off upfront cost and get 25GB monthly 5G data on the iD Mobile network, plus unlimited minutes and texts.
Including price rises in April 2026 and April 2027 during this 24-month contract, in total you'll pay £905.76. That's an excellent price considering the RRP for the 512GB Z Flip 7 is £1,149 - it means over two years the total you pay is actually £243.24 less than if you buy the phone outright, and you get the 25GB phone plan too.
Mobiles.co.uk and the iD Mobile network are owned by familiar UK retailer Currys. It often has the best prices on mobile contracts compared to EE, O2, Vodafone and Three, and the pre-order prices for the Z Flip 7 are no exception.
For example, paying £150 upfront on EE with 25GB data on a 24 month contract will set you back £60.26 per month, with price rises each April. Mobiles.co.uk is undercutting EE by more than 50 percent of the monthly price.
Just make sure you can afford the monthly payments before signing any new mobile contract, and always read the terms and conditions to understand what you are agreeing to.
