Margao boy Goa topper at JEE-Main Session 2

Panaji: At the Session 2 Joint Entrance Exam (JEE-Main) results declared on Saturday, the National Testing Agency (NTA) declared Margao-lad Navinya Desai as the Goa state topper. Navinya secured a percentile of 99.98.
He plans to join one of the Indian Institutes of Technology.
Until Saturday evening, it emerged that around 17 students in Goa had scores of over 99 percentile.
Mentor of Mushtifund Aryaan Higher Secondary School (MAHSS), Vyankatesh Prabhudesai, said his institute had eight students with above 99 percentile.

Besides Navinya, Steffan Silva had a score of 99.8, Sparsh Ajgaonkar of 99.61, Ahana Sangui of 99.47, Isaiah Caldeira of 99.41, Suhit Mahambrey of 99.23, Steve Barreto of 99.14, and Tanay Mahajan of 99.05.
“We have 17 students scoring above 98 percentile which is a record for a single institute from Goa in 2025. Navinya was a student at MAHSS, Cujira. He was also Goa topper in 2024 JEE Main, Session 1 with a percentile of 99.89. This is the second highest percentile ever recorded from Goa. Congratulations to all the students, MAHSS principal Manali Varerkar and the entire staff,” said Prabhudesai. He added that “uniquely structured and systematic approach” helped students prepare for both Board exams as well as national level entrance exams.

Dempo PACE’s Rupa S Khope said that the institute had five students with over 99 percentile. “Rohan Keni has secured 99.95 percentile, Aadi Pai Kuchelkar had a percentile of 99.89, Advait Kotnis has secured 99.6 percentile, Rishabh Talwadker has got 99.4 percentile, and Advay Mothe 99.18 percentile. We also have Saiee Dalvi with 98.87 percentile, among several other qualifications,” Khope said.
Estellar Academy’s Keegan Leitao scored 99.82 percentile, Joshua Fernandes secured 99.33 percentile, and Abhay Maurya 99.02 percentile.
Director and founder of Estellar Academy Yogendra Singh Sikarwar said “We congratulate all our students for their excellent performance in JEE Main 2025. Other than Keegan, Joshua, and Abhay, there are many who have scored above 90 percentile. We are sure they will perform excellently in JEE Advanced 2025 too.”
MAHSS students with over 98 percentile includes Rishit Kulkarni (98.96), Krissh Parekh (98.73), Denise Fernandes (98.64), Sitara Naik (98.62), Hrishi Naik (98.58), Ishan Nadkarni (98.30), Gautam Shankar (98.22), Kartik Mahatme (98.28), and Saanvi Bhatikar (98.10).
