NEW DELHI: Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar who is currently touring Assam, visited the renowned Kaziranga National Park where he fed elephants and embarked on a jeep safari to soak in the park’s rich wildlife and scenic landscape.
Tendulkar, who is known for his love of nature, was seen dressed for the summer heat in sunglasses and a wide-brimmed hat. He also sported a traditional Assamese gamcha around his neck, a gesture that was warmly received by locals for embracing the region’s culture.
Kaziranga, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is home to nearly 3,000 one-horned rhinoceroses and is considered one of India’s most successful wildlife conservation zones.
The park also shelters Bengal tigers, Indian wild elephants, swamp deer, wild water buffaloes, and the critically endangered Bengal florican.
