Bollywood star Aamir Khan is often praised by his co-stars for bringing utmost professionalism and perfection to film sets. He demonstrates intense dedication in every project. His co-actor, Mushtaq Khan, recently shared an incident describing how Aamir refused to leave anything to chance on set, going the extra mile to ensure everything was perfectly in sync.

Aamir’s Dedication
In an interview with Filmymanta Media, Mushtaq shared his experience of working with Aamir Khan on the set of Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke. He described Aamir as a brilliant actor, widely known as a perfectionist. Mushtaq recalled that Aamir was always focused on getting the perfect take and was very supportive of his co-actors, including Juhi Chawla and himself, often offering guidance on how they could enhance their performances. Even after the shooting day had ended, Aamir would ask everyone to stay back for a few minutes to discuss the plan for the next day’s shoot, demonstrating his dedication and commitment to the project.

Perfectionism Continues During Akele Hum Akele Tum

Mushtaq's experiences with Aamir’s relentless attitude continued when they worked together on the 1995 Mansoor Khan film Akele Hum Akele Tum. He recalled playing the role of Aamir’s lawyer and mentioned that there was a line Aamir disagreed with, saying, “It wasn’t convincing enough.” When Mushtaq asked him what to do, the shoot was halted for about half an hour while everyone collaborated and sought ideas from others. Eventually, the scene was filmed as the director, Mansoor Khan, had planned, in order to complete the day’s shoot.

Late-Night Call and Midnight Visit
The actor revealed that after wrapping up the day’s work, he went home like everyone else. However, later that night, he received an unexpected phone call from Aamir. Aamir asked what time he usually went to sleep and, upon learning that it was around 10 PM, explained that he had come up with an idea for the scene and wanted Mushtaq to read it that very night. The actor requested Aamir to send the script, but while waiting, he dozed off. At around 12:15 AM, there was a knock on his door, and his driver informed him that Aamir was waiting downstairs to discuss the scene.

“I asked Aamir to send the script to me, and while waiting, I dozed off. Around 12:15 AM, there was a knock, and the driver told me Aamir was standing downstairs to discuss the scene.”

Aamir’s Consideration
When the actor went downstairs, he found Aamir waiting “in his shorts, smoking.” Although he invited Aamir inside, Aamir declined out of consideration, knowing it was late and the actor’s wife and children were likely asleep. By this time, several neighbours had opened their windows, trying to catch a glimpse of Aamir, who was already a household name after the success of 'Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak'.
