Urvashi Rautela, a popular Bollywood actress, often makes headlines for her controversial statements. She recently claimed that she has a temple dedicated to her. A clip from her interview with Siddharth Kannan has been trending on social media, with netizens slamming the actress over her remarks. Now, television actress Rashami Desai has reacted to the controversy on her social media.
Rashami wrote, “It’s sad that people don’t even take action against such nonsense… In Bharat, Hinduism is becoming a joke. By the way, she was politically correct when she kept repeating her answer. Representing India and talking senselessly on purpose… it’s sad. Don’t play games in the name of religion.”
Speaking about the temple, Rautela said, “I am being serious about it. It is true. There are news articles about the same too. You can read them.” However, former Badrinath religious officer and priest Bhuwan Chandra Uniyal strongly opposed Rautela’s claims. “It is not her temple. Such statements are unacceptable, and the government should take strict steps against anyone making such claims,” he told India Today.
Netizens also reacted strongly on social media, slamming Urvashi for her remarks. One user wrote, “What is wrong with her? Why does she keep making such statements and not even realize that she looks like a fool? How can any human have a temple in their name? This is bizarre.” Another commented, “This is beyond acceptable. Is our religion a joke to her? She keeps making such stupid statements all the time.”
A third user added, “This is so annoying. Urvashi never fails to disappoint us — be it with her statements or her acting. Why does she even make such remarks, knowing how sensitive the topic is? The temple is not dedicated to her. That’s it.”
