UFC 314 will mark the return of the Ultimate Fighting Championship to Miami, Florida, where it will be headlined by a featherweight title bout between Alexander Volkanovski and Diego Lopes. The former champion Alexander Volkanovski will look to reclaim his throne by taking on the surging Brazilian challenger Diego Lopes, and their vacant UFC featherweight championship will be on the line. The main card will start 12th April, 10 p.m. ET and will include five fights, including a lightweight co-main between Michael Chandler and Paddy Pimblett at the Kaseya Center.

This is the first time Alexander Volkanovski (26-4-0) has made it to the Octagon since he lost the featherweight title to Ilia Topuria in February 2024. Standing across from Alexander Volkanovski is Brazilian Jiu Jitsu specialist Diego Lopes (26-6-0), who is on a five-fight winning streak. Contender has not lost in 5ft 11 since Movsar Evloev beat him by unanimous decision at UFC 288 in May 2023. The vacant championship is a formidable challenger to the vacant championship with Lopes, who has technical ground skills and momentum.
