The sport of hockey acknowledges Sidney Crosby as one of the most outstanding players in its entire history. From the beginning of his NHL career , he joined and has remained with the Pittsburgh Penguins . Since he entered the NHL in 2005 Crosby has exceeded 1,500 points in his career. Crosby brought fame because of his persistent on-ice performance. Crosby has achieved 100 points in his career six different times. Thankfully Crosby delivered Canada's "Golden Goal" during the 2010 Olympic tournament for victory. His leadership and skill have made him a franchise icon.

The world views Crosby as a man of humble character outside his hockey career. He started at the age of 18, and began his NHL career in 2005.

At age five he lived in Cole Harbour Nova Scotia while developing his skating skills. Troy Crosby served as a goaltender playing for the QMJHL league. His mother, Trina, supported his early hockey dreams. Crosby keeps his personal life private. He maintains a single status with no family children. Though rumors suggest he has been in a long-term relationship with model Kathy Leutner since 2008. Hockey, fitness, and charity work are the three main focuses of his life. His Sidney Crosby Foundation supports youth sports and health initiatives.

Crosby’s rivalry with Alex Ovechkin is legendary. Both were drafted in 2005 and became the faces of the NHL. Their competition pushed each other to greatness. Ovechkin leads in goals, but Crosby has more championships.
