Ashton Jeanty looks forward to playing for the Las Vegas Raiders, especially for Pete Carroll

The 21-year-old running back also talked about the Las Vegas Raiders’ head coach, the oldest NFL coach, Pete Carroll(73), at the Pat McAfee Show. Ashton Jeanty said, “It’s no surprise to me that I’m mocked to go there being that their recent hires and Pete Carroll, we know his coaching style, we know he likes to run the ball, likes a great running back. Ashton Jeanty writes a heartwarming letter to the NFL general managers

Ashton Jeanty addresses the NFL GMs with a heartwarming letter. Here are some excerpts from the 2025 NFL draft prospect’s letter that will melt your heart.

  • If you pick me, it’s simple: I’m coming to your franchise to do what Saquon(Barkley) and the (Philadelphia)Eagles just did.
  • I swear: No one could touch me. You’d have these older kids out there, all trying to bring me down, doing whatever they could. And I’d still just be making them look silly.
  • I hate losing.

  • Go and ask my coaches from Lone Star if I made any noise. I’m guessing they’ll all say the same thing - Ashton Jeanty? Nah. He just went out there and played football. That dude LOVES football.
  • You throw in the deep end with the people I’ve never met before? I’m swimming.
  • Once I’m running that football, I swear: my instincts just take over. I turn into this unstoppable beast.
