Republicans are happy over the exit of Elon Musk and his entourage but they are happier about the exit of Katie Miller , the wife of White House deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller, WIRED reported, citing insiders. Katie was the DOGE spokesperson but now will work full time with Elon Musk amid strange White House rumors. Speculative social media posts claimed Katie is leaving Stephen Miller for Elon Musk while the three of them were in a throuple kind of situation as long as Elon's DOGE was working in the White House. Katie was the bridge between Elon Musk and the administration and she was the person who used to deliver him bad news, while both she and her husband had the task of showing Elon Musk around in Washington.
Going by the rumors, Stephen Miller "used" his wife as Elon Musk's handler and boasted around the White House that he was controlling Elon Musk. While it's confirmed that Katie Miller will now be working for Elon Musk, the rumor about their relationship remains a rumor.
“There’s a lot of people in the business that work with her (Katie Miller) or have worked with her, and she leaves bodies everywhere she’s been,” a senior Republican strategist told WIRED.
Elon era is not over: What JD Vance said
Elon Musk's announcement that he would now exit his DOGE role hinted at a Trump-Musk fallout, though both of them have been teasing this for a long time that Elon will eventually go back to his business. Trump announced that he would address a press conference with Elon Musk today, but Republicans are cautious and feel that Elon will never be completely out of the picture.
Vice President JD Vance credited Elon Musk for what he did and blamed the media for peddling a narrative that the 'Elon Era is over'. "I think that's actually totally wrong. Now, he obviously has a day job and he's gotta go back to his day job to run his companies. But the Doge effort will continue. Elon will continue to be an important advisor," JD Vance said in his Newsmax interview.
