Udupi Krishna Matha to celebrate Hanuman Jayanti on April 12

Udupi: The Hanuman Jayanti Mahotsava will be celebrated at the Paryaya Sri Puthige Sri Krishna Matha on April 12.

As part of the event, a Madhvabhisheka will be held at 7:30 AM with the recitation of Vayustuti in the presence of the presiding deity at the Bhojanashale Mukhyaprana temple. At 4:30 PM, the prize distribution ceremony for the global-level Bhagavad Gita quiz competition will be held at Rajangana.

Paryaya Sri Puthige Matha seer Sri Sugunendra Thirtha Swamiji will preside. Sri Vidyasha Thirtha Swamiji of Sri Bhandarakeri Matha will grace the event, while junior seer Sri Sushrindra Thirtha Swamiji of Paryaya Sri Puthige Matha will also be present. Karnataka Sanskrit University Vice-Chancellor Dr Ahalya S and renowned scholar Shatavadhani Dr. Udupi Ramnath Acharya will participate.

A book authored by the seer titled ‘Ramayana: Rahasya-Swārasya Sangrahakruti’ will be released. At 6 PM, the valedictory event of the week-long discourse series Sri Rama-Hanuma Sundara Pravachana by Dr Ramnath Acharya will be held. A day-long Bhajana Vaibhava led by Vidushi Usha Hebbar will take place from 9 AM to 4 PM. At 7 PM, Kadiyali Mahishamardhini Yakshagana Kala Mandali will stage the Yakshagana Sri Ramadarshana, as informed by the Matha.
